Muscari

Compact, strong and naturalizable
Muscari, also known as blue grape hyacinth, is a low but strong spring bloomer with compact flower clusters and a striking scent. This bulb is extremely suitable for naturalization, beds, borders, pots and combinations with tulips and daffodils. It flowers early, often from March, and runs synchronously with other classic spring bulbs. Muscari is winter hardy, grows well in almost any well-drained soil and requires little maintenance. Thanks to its strong flowering and natural appearance, it is a permanent fixture in parks, private gardens, flower-rich lawns and seasonal presentations.
Muscari – small in size, big in spring performance
Muscari is one of the most widely used naturalizing bulbs in the world. With its dense clusters of small, bell-shaped flowers, usually in intense blue but also available in white, pink or purple, it provides a powerful color accent in early spring. The plant reaches a height of approx. 15 cm and is therefore perfect for borders, low beds and interplanting.
Well-known varieties include Muscari armeniacum (classic blue), Muscari latifolium (bicoloured leaves and flowers), and Muscari botryoides (fine-flowered, can be naturalised). They flower in March and April and attract bees and early pollinators. Once planted, they can remain standing for years and even spread – without becoming rampant.
