Crocus

Herald of spring with natural flair
Crocus is one of the earliest flowering spring bulbs and often announces the end of winter with its cheerful flowers in yellow, white, purple and blue. This compact plant is ideal for naturalisation, lawns, borders, rockeries and pots. Thanks to its natural appearance, low growth and early flowering, crocus is popular with garden lovers, designers and municipalities. It attracts bees and other insects early in the season and combines well with other early bloomers such as snowdrops and daffodils. Crocuses are low-maintenance, hardy and can remain in the same place for years.
Crocus – the harbinger of spring
Crocus is an iconic spring bloomer that shows its colorful heads above ground before most other flower bulbs. They often appear as early as February or March, and bring liveliness to the garden while the rest of nature is still at rest. Crocuses grow from small bulbs (technically corms) and come in a rich palette of colours, ranging from bright yellow and classic white to deep violet and blue-purple.
There are several species of crocus, including the popular Crocus vernus (large-flowered crocus) and Crocus chrysanthus (botanical crocus). Botanical species are particularly suitable for naturalising and flower year after year, often as early as February. Crocuses are an excellent choice for natural plantings, rockeries and borders, but also for larger landscaping projects such as flower-rich lawns and verges.
Applications:
Naturalization in lawns and grass verges
Early flowering borders and rockeries
Pots and flower boxes on balconies or terraces
