Lilium

Lilium 'Pink Planet' – lily bulbs

World-class lily for garden and vase

Lilium is a majestic flower bulb known for its impressive flowers, rich fragrance and versatility in cultivation and use. From large-flowered oriental lilies to fragrant trumpet varieties and robust Asian hybrids – the Lilium genus offers unparalleled variety. Lilies are grown worldwide as high-quality cut flowers, but also find their place in borders, flower beds and pots. They flower from June to August, depending on the variety and planting time. Thanks to their powerful appearance and long vase life, they are indispensable in both professional flower production and ornamental planting in the garden.

Lilium – elegance, fragrance and top-notch flowering

Lilies are among the most valued flower bulbs in the world. They are grown en masse for the cut flower market, but are also gaining ground among private gardeners thanks to their impressive flowers, fragrance and appearance. The genus Lilium has numerous species and hybrids, including:

  • Asiatic Lilies – early flowering, sturdy stems, odorless, multicolored

  • Oriental Lilies – large, fragrant, later flowering

  • Trumpet lily (Lilium longiflorum) – classic white, known for Easter

  • LA, OT and LO hybrids – crosses with improved properties (colour, scent, sturdiness)

Lilies can be grown in the open ground, greenhouse or tunnel and generally prefer slightly acidic, well-drained soil. They flower from the end of June to August, depending on the variety and cultivation method. The flowers are attractive to bees and butterflies, while the sturdy stems make them particularly suitable for bouquets and commercial processing.

  • Professional cut flower cultivation (greenhouse and field)
