Hydrangea: flowering shrubs for gardens, pots and cut flowers

Hydrangea is a flowering shrub with large flower heads or panicles in white, pink, red, blue and green. Depending on the species, it flowers from June into October. Holland Bulb Market supplies hydrangeas as young plants in P9 pots (12 per tray) in its spring programme: bigleaf (mophead), lacecap (Teller), panicle, smooth and climbing hydrangea.

Uses

Gardens and borders: as a specimen, in groups or as a low hedge. Combine with hosta, astilbe and ferns in partial shade.
Pots and patios: bigleaf hydrangeas are popular pot plants for patios, balconies and seasonal sales.
Public green spaces and landscaping: panicle and smooth hydrangeas are very hardy and flower reliably every year.
Cut and dried flowers: the flower heads last long in the vase and dry well.
