Hemerocallis

Daylily with lasting impact
Hemerocallis, or daylily, is a strong, perennial plant that excels in reliability, abundance of flowers and ornamental value. Each flower only blooms for one day, but thanks to the large number of flower buds per stem, the plant still offers weeks of flowering. Available in a huge range of colours and shapes - from classic orange and yellow tones to modern, two-tone or almost black varieties. Hemerocallis is suitable for borders, public green areas, parks and large-scale landscaping projects. The plant is very winter-hardy, requires little maintenance and grows well in almost any location, from sun to partial shade. Thanks to its robustness and long-lasting flowering, it is a permanent fixture in both private and professional planting.
Hemerocallis – long-lasting flowering and unparalleled versatility
Hemerocallis, better known as daylily, is a perennial plant with grass-like leaves and striking flowers on sturdy stems. Although the individual flowers only bloom for one day, they are formed in large numbers, which ensures a flowering period of several weeks – often from June to August. Through selective breeding, there are now varieties with earlier or later flowering, which makes combinations over longer periods possible.
The plant is particularly popular because of its adaptability: it grows on almost any soil, tolerates drought and temporary wet periods, and is resistant to cold down to well below zero. Most varieties reach a height of 50 to 100 cm, but there are also compact varieties available for pots and smaller gardens.
Hemerocallis is not only suitable for gardens, but is also widely used in large-scale plantings such as municipal borders, verges and natural planting zones. Due to its dense growth, it also helps to suppress weeds.
