Echinacea

Echinacea – colour, strength and biodiversity in one plant
Echinacea is a North American prairie plant that is loved worldwide for its decorative value and its role as an insect magnet. The flowers have a pronounced, central cone with drooping petals in colours such as pink, purple, white, orange, yellow and red. Modern hybrids (such as the Echinacea purpurea ‘Magnus’ or ‘Cherry Fluff’) flower very richly and for a long time.
The plant grows best in sunny, well-drained places and is very tolerant of drought and poor soils. Echinacea is not only decorative, but also plays an important role in biodiversity-friendly gardens. It is popular in ecological projects, public borders and as a cut flower.
Applications:
Natural or prairie borders with a long flowering period
Biodiversity gardens and pollinator-friendly plantings
