First Pile Driven for New Storage and Processing Facility in Egmond

On June 16, 2026, an important milestone was reached at our nursery in Egmond. In a special ceremony, Riet van der Velden, mother of Joris van der Velden, drove the first pile for our new storage and processing facility.

Together with family, employees, and partners, we celebrated this memorable occasion with refreshments and cake. With the first pile now in place, construction has officially begun on a modern facility of approximately 2,000 m², marking an important step in the continued growth and development of our nursery.

The new building will house six large storage cells, equipped with the latest storage and processing technologies, including advanced CATT treatment systems. These cells will provide storage capacity for more than 2,000 wooden pallet boxes, significantly increasing our storage capabilities.

In addition, our processing lines will be relocated to this new facility. This will allow us to further optimize our operations and prepare our flower bulbs even more efficiently for customers around the world.

This investment is not only an expansion of our capacity but also an investment in the future of our company. The new facility will enable us to further strengthen innovation, quality, and sustainability while continuing to provide the highest level of service to our customers.

We look forward to the progress of the construction and will keep you updated on further developments.
