*Crop information Autumn 2011

Unlike last year, conditions for harvesting are/were perfect.
Beautifully dry weather.
The weather during the growing season was unstable and generally too cold.
However, the result is that the average yield is good, except for the dahlias.

More in detail:

Gladiolus:
The bulbs are of good quality and the harvest is good.

Lilium:
Not all liliums are harvested yet but we expect good results in all sizes.
The quality is good, only little crop damage due to high temperatures during the harvest.

Perennials:
no good overview yet, but the initial results seem positive.

Dahlia:
Moderate growing season.
Weather for Dahlia’s was too dry in spring and much too cold during summer.
Many failures and the size of the tubers is much smaller than normal.

*Conclusion and consequences:

With the exception of dahlias, we expect that all orders will be delivered complete
Especially for deliveries later in the season, there will be shortages in the dahlias.

*Bulbs of the Year 2011
